What's new in SitApp
A history of features, improvements, and fixes shipped to the posture Droid.
v8.1.1 - April 27, 2026
New
- New toggle in Settings → Alerts lets you turn off the "Not slouching?" prompt during long alerts.
Improved
- Slouch calibration now asks for the kind of slouch you'd want the Droid to catch, helping it learn your real-world posture.
- The webcam selector is available during onboarding for everyone, even with a single camera.
- Streaks now stay visible through brief connection hiccups instead of momentarily blanking.
Fixed
- The slouch warning preview shows your active camera, even when it's not the system default.
- The warning window's corner hint sits in a consistent spot whether the warning appears at the top or bottom of your screen.
- Streaks and session time correctly pause when the Droid loses sight of you, so unmonitored time no longer counts toward your goals.
- New users see the corner preview during the onboarding demo right after granting camera permission.
v8.0 - April 27, 2026
New
- The daily share card got a redesign. The Droid now reports back like a field dispatch, calling out exactly how many minutes you slouched today with a bit of personality.
Improved
- Syncing is faster and more reliable across the board, with smoother offline recovery when your connection drops.
Fixed
- The app now stays connected on corporate networks where strict proxies used to interrupt syncing.
- Social sign-ins reliably return to the right window, even on machines that still have older versions of the app installed.
- The app quietly heals itself if its local cache ever gets into a bad state, so a manual restart is no longer needed.
v7.9 - April 24, 2026
Improved
- Posture detection runs on a faster, more accurate pose model.
- Multi-desk setups now keep each location's calibration accurate when you switch between them.

v7.7 - April 19, 2026
Improved
- Posture detection tracks more naturally now, with smoother motion and less jitter when you're moving around.

Fixed
- Windows updates now recover gracefully when leftover files from a previous update are in the way.
v7.5 - April 18, 2026
New
- Setup drift detection: when your camera angle, lighting, or clothing changes mid-session, the Droid notices and pauses alerts until you recalibrate, so you don't get false warnings.

Improved
- Clicking a toast notification no longer pulls the main window forward and steals focus from whatever you were working on.

- New launch options to auto-start tracking and export your session summary to a JSON file when SitApp quits.
